The great expertise of the EL.C.A. technical staff offers highly qualified consultancy in project design, engineering and the industrialization of the product. The project design activities are developed with professional CAD systems and they enable the creation of extremely accurate technical material in real time.
During the last few years EL.C.A. has distinguished itself in the designing of instruments and testing programmes to test print circuit boards which are developed parallel to the production of prototypes and pre-series.

Numerous companies have turned to EL.C.A. with great success for the designing and industrialization of new products; the flexibility and competence reached by our technical staff has enabled the development of several products in various application fields. ETHERNET-CAN BUS COMMUNICATIONS SECTOR

INDUSTRIAL HEATING SECTOR

 
 
 

Central Unit + Peripheral Unit of communication

The DIN bar module for the running of up to 60 units of peripheral controls for industrial heating systems with radiant heating strips. The control is done through a Hitachi microprocessor, run by a personal computer via RS-232 and a dedicated software programme in Labview®.
 
 

DOMESTIC HEATING SECTOR:
PELLET BURNING HEATERS, WOOD BURNING FIREPLACES, HEATERS IN MAJOLICA, BOILERS

EL.C.A. has gained valuable experience in the wood burning and its by-products heating sector. Today amongst it clients EL.C.A. is recognised as a major international producer of fireplaces, heaters and boilers. The constant analysis of the market in this sector has enabled the company not only to understand the actual needs of the client, but also to anticipate future technology.

THERMOREGULATION SECTOR

 
 

The AirOne products line was explicitly developed for room temperature regulation in INDUSTRIAL AND ZOO TECHNICAL structures, by means of window openings or the activation of fans or central heating systems.

    The EL.C.A. digital chronotherm for hot and cold functioning, with daily and weekly programming on 16 time slots per day and 2 temperature settings. Antifreeze function. Ignition efficiency. Holiday function (with reactivation date), internal sensor and predisposition for a remote sensor. Automatic daylight saving/solar time change. Entrance alarm for the deactivation timer.  4 Led to report the condition of the system. The compact size and the elegant design, enable installation in any environment. EL.C.A. furthermore can develop chronotherm that are able to communicate with air conditioning systems with proprietary protocols (for example Hitachi air conditioning systems).  
 

REFRIGERATION SECTOR

 
A command board to lower the temperature used for the controlled refrigeration of food. Cell probe entry and hairpin probe entry to measure the temperature of the food, output speed control of the ventilation motor and the compressor cell. Interface on 16x2 LCD display.
 

AIR TREATMENT SECTOR

 
    A centralized air treatment management system for public and industrial environments. Extremely compact and flexible, it can be considered a multistandard development platform: 7 output on relay, 3 SELV entries by NTC probe, 3 SELV entries NA/NC contacts, two 0-10Vdc analogical outputs and one 0-10Vdc digital output at variable duty cycle. Everything is assisted by a microprocessor that can function according to 6 different selection modes.  
 

Interconnectivity

 
    The control of large environments requires the presence of a widespread monitoring network: for this reason two different remote units have been developed, a LED one and another with LCD display that communicate with the base unit via RS-485. These are fed via BUS, and don’t need additional sources of supplementary feeding.  
 

The advanced control system with BUS proprietary protocol enables the creation of a widespread network with the Multimaster system: in the same system it is possible to link up to 99 Master units and up to 99 Slave units.

The remotes are also equipped with an infrared door to communicate with the radio control.

 
 

REMOTE CONTROL SECTOR

 
 

The control of equipment at a distance is now a fundamental prerogative in the consumer and industrial fields. EL.C.A. develops several communication systems via BUS and via radio: here are mentioned only a few of the solutions adopted for various clients:

A communication remote unit with 16x2 LCD display fed and operated via BUS RS-485

 
 
 

Remote command unit via RS-485 realized for assembling on embedding 4 modules Vimar box Idea series. 16x2 LCD display, with 4 keys for function selecting,  probe for internal temperature.

 
   

For the more complex communication architectures, EL.C.A. designs bidirectional communication platforms using Transceiver systems at 868MHz on a Nordic® and Semtech® base.

 
 

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS SECTOR

 
   

Print circuit board for output generation in PWM to control laser cutting machines. The communication with the machine occurs through the Profibus® protocol.

 
   

Control unit to command 8 load banks; control is via RS-485 of the duty-cycle on a fixed period per load; algorithmic for the internal load management of the period.

 
   

Blade sharpener boards for power saws. Automatic blade sharpening cycle, automatic chain tensioning, recognition of left/right tooth and automatic chain feed. Frontal control board with 7 segment display for machine set-up. Communication is on RS-232 for the regulation of the functional parameters of the sharpener.
